Partnerships

Service that counts, an experience that matters

Every business has its own goals to meet and risks to manage—good weather means something different to everyone. In an increasingly automated industry, we embrace the human element and begin every partnership by learning how weather impacts what you do. With the needs of your operation in mind, we work with you to set goals and deliver the weather information your users need, communicated in a way that is most helpful to you.

Innovation for your business

We provide detailed, real-time weather forecasts, accessible weather discussion, and client consultation 24/7 year round. Our staff uses advanced, high-resolution prediction models to synthesize information from satellite, radar, lightning, and surface and upper air observations. Accredited scientists from the UWM Atmospheric Science program provide innovative client solutions based on years of operational research.

Service for the community

We are more than another forecast service—we believe in forging relationships and creating discussions at the university, business, and public levels. We aim to enhance education, promote weather safety, and support the future of meteorology. Innovative Weather partners serve their communities by providing opportunities for students in the atmospheric sciences to advance their academic and professional careers.

"Unlike a generic weather service, Innovative Weather provides WPL with concise, specific weather data tailored to our demands. Lightning activity, wind and icing conditions largely drive outage events at an electric utility. We receive five daily reports targeted to our three operating regions, and more frequent updates during major weather events. With this information, we can mobilize the correct number of crews to better manage outages, minimize cost and better serve our customers."

Don Huebschen, Senior Manager, Distribution Systems Operations, Alliant Energy
